How to Make

1. Paint the box with 2 different shades of blue. To make a pale blue, mix white paint with a small amount of dark blue or turquoise. Use different colours if you prefer. Leave to dry.
2. To make stars for decorating the sides of the box, draw an equilateral triangle onto white card. Make the sides on the triangles 7cm-8cm in length. Cut out the triangle.
3. Use the card triangle as a template to make the glittery star shapes. Place the triangle on the reverse side of A4 gold glitter card. Draw 2 separate triangles outlines pencil then cut them out. Measure a 5-8mm border around the edge of both triangles then cut them out to make 2 triangular frames. Cutting into the frame from the edge is easier than trying to cut out a window from the middle and won’t show once it’s been glued. Glue one of the glittery triangle frames onto blue paper. Use a cocktail stick or a thin brush to apply small amounts of glue onto the card. Glue the second triangle on top to make a 6-pointed star. Cut around the edge of the star leaving a thin blue border around the edge. Make 4 more triangles in the same way. Glue the stars onto the side and top of the box.
4. Add sticky gems around the edges of the box.
