Pretend Play Dolls House

How to Make

1. Firstly, create a Kitchen, Bathroom, Bedroom, Living room and Garden for your dolls house. You can use our dolls house rooms for inspiration.
2. Cut out 2 rectangles the same width and length as 2 dolls house room kits from cardboard. 1 rectangle will help stack the rooms on top of each other and the other is for the base of the roof.
3. For the roof cut out 2 more rectangles 29cm by 24 cm.
4. Print out the roof tiles and stick them to the cardboard rectangles. Make sure to match the pattern of the tile.
5. Then stick the cardboard with the roof tiles at an angle on top of the larger rectangle.
6. Draw around the triangle inside the roof and cut it out.
7. Then slot and stick the triangle at the back of the roof.
8. For the wall partitioning’s, stick 2 pieces of A3 card together. Make sure the colours chosen, match the rooms the card will partition.
9. Draw and cut out a square (22cm by 22cm).
10. Then draw and cut out a rectangle for the door (11cm by 5cm). Repeat steps 5,6 and 7 for the other wall partitioning.
11. Stick the living room and kitchen together with the wall partitioning between using hot glue (get an adult to help).
12. Then glue the cardboard rectangle on top.
13. Next, stick the bathroom and bedroom together with the wall partitioning between.
14. Stick the roof on top to finish the house.
15. Lastly, place the 2 gardens either side of the house.
