Ruby Gillman Paper Chain

How to Make

1. Use the template to cut out the characters features from card.
2. Stick and assemble the features.
3. Draw eyelashes a smile and eyebrows on the face with a fine black pen. Use a purple deco pen to draw details on the shoes.
4. Cut out various sized rectangles (2.5cm width) from grey and purple card.
5. Set aside.
6. Draw and cut out a blue, green, and purple rectangle (25cm x 5cm), a purple rectangle (20cm by 2.5cm) and 6 white rectangles (25cm by 2.5cm).
7. Make all the rectangles into rings by stapling the ends together except from the shortest purple rectangle.
8. Staple the blue green and purple rings together. Then staple 3 white rings together to form 1 leg and repeat so that you form 2 paper chain legs.
9. Connect the body and legs together by looping the last purple rectangle through the bottom purple ring and through the top 2 white rings.
10. Stick the various grey and purple rectangles onto the legs to create Ruby’s tights.
11. Stick the head, arms, and shoes to the paper chain.
12. Lastly, cut a length of light blue ribbon and loop it through the top of the chain.
